Overview
The Contacts feature allows you to manage all your business contacts, organize them into groups, verify email addresses, and track engagement status.

Accessing Contacts
Navigate to Leads > Contacts from the main menu to access your contacts.
Viewing Contacts
My Contacts Tab
View contacts you've created or saved:
- Personal contact list
- Your saved contacts
- Contacts you've imported
Other Users Contacts Tab
View contacts saved by other team members:
- Organization-wide contacts
- Shared contact database
- Team collaboration
Contact Information
Each contact includes:
- Email Address: Primary contact email
- Name: First and last name
- Company: Company name
- Job Title: Professional title
- Status: Active, Unsubscribed, or Bounced
- Groups/Tags: Contact groups
- Verification Status: Email verification quality
- Saved By: User who saved the contact
- Created Date: When contact was added
Creating Contacts
Manual Entry
- Click Add Contact button
- Fill in contact information:
- Email (required)
- First Name
- Last Name
- Company
- Job Title
- Groups/Tags (optional)
- Click Save
Import from CSV
- Click Import CSV button
- Select a CSV file with contact data
- Map columns to contact fields
- Review import preview
- Click Import to complete
CSV Format: Email, First Name, Last Name, Company, Job Title, Tags
Contact Groups
Creating Groups
- Click Create Group button
- Enter group details:
- Name: Group name (e.g., "VIP", "Tier-1", "2025-prospects")
- Description: Optional description
- Color: Choose a color for visual identification
- Click Create
Managing Groups
- Edit Group: Click edit icon on a group
- Delete Group: Click delete icon (contacts remain, just removed from group)
- View Group Contacts: Click on a group to filter contacts
Adding Contacts to Groups
- Select contacts using checkboxes
- Use bulk actions to add to groups
- Or edit individual contact to add groups
Email Verification
Verifying Contacts
- Select contacts to verify (or verify all unverified)
- Click Verify Selected or Verify All Unverified
- Choose verification method:
- SMTP (Standard): Standard SMTP validation
- Deep Check: More thorough validation with catch-all detection
- Ping (Quick): Fast but less accurate check
- Click Verify
Verification Status
Contacts show verification quality:
- Excellent: High-quality email address
- Good: Valid email address
- Risky: Potentially problematic
- Bad: Invalid or problematic email
- Not Verified: Not yet verified
Verification Details
View detailed verification information:
- Quality score (percentage)
- Verification date
- Disposable email detection
- Role-based email detection
- Free email provider detection
- Catch-all detection
- Verification reason
Contact Status
Track contact engagement status:
- Active: Contact is active and engaged
- Unsubscribed: Contact has unsubscribed
- Bounced: Email bounced (invalid address)
Bulk Operations
Selecting Contacts
- Click checkbox to select individual contacts
- Click header checkbox to select all visible contacts
- Selected count appears in action bar
Bulk Actions
- Verify Selected: Verify email addresses
- Delete Selected: Remove contacts
- Add to Group: Assign to contact groups
- Export Selected: Export to CSV
Search and Filters
Search Contacts
- Use search bar to find contacts by:
- Email address
- Name
- Company
- Job title
Filter by Group
- Use the Groups sidebar
- Click on a group to filter
- Click "All Contacts" to clear filter
- Group filter shows count of contacts
Usage Counters
View organization usage at the top:
- Email Reveals: Number of email reveals used
- Phone Reveals: Number of phone reveals used
- Contacts: Total contacts count
- Email Verifications: Number of verifications used
Counters show:
- Current usage
- Usage limits
- Progress bars
- Color coding (green/yellow/red based on usage)
Contact Statistics
View statistics cards:
- Total Contacts: All contacts count
- Active: Active contacts count
- Unsubscribed: Unsubscribed count
- Bounced: Bounced contacts count
Editing Contacts
- Click Edit icon on a contact
- Update contact information
- Add or remove groups
- Save changes
Deleting Contacts
Single Contact
- Click Delete icon on a contact
- Confirm deletion
- Contact is permanently removed
Bulk Delete
- Select multiple contacts
- Click Delete Selected
- Confirm bulk deletion
- All selected contacts are removed
Import/Export
Exporting Contacts
- Select contacts to export (or export all)
- Click Export button
- CSV file downloads automatically
- Includes all contact fields and verification data
Importing Contacts
- Prepare CSV file with contact data
- Click Import CSV
- Upload file
- Map columns to fields
- Review and import
- Check import results for errors
Best Practices
- Verify Emails: Verify email addresses before sending campaigns
- Use Groups: Organize contacts into meaningful groups
- Regular Updates: Keep contact information current
- Clean Lists: Remove bounced and unsubscribed contacts
- Monitor Usage: Track usage counters to stay within limits
- Import Carefully: Validate CSV data before importing
Troubleshooting
Import Failing
- Check CSV format matches requirements
- Verify email addresses are valid
- Ensure file encoding is UTF-8
- Review error messages for specific issues
Verification Not Working
- Check verification method selected
- Ensure contact has email address
- Verify subscription limits not exceeded
- Check internet connection
Groups Not Showing
- Refresh the page
- Check that groups are created
- Verify contacts are assigned to groups
- Clear browser cache if needed
